Education departments pay highly attention to preschool education, because it is the fundamental stage of elementary education. In recent years,the concentration of society on preschool education has increased. As a part of preschool education, incidental education is different from the presupposition education. The features of incidental education are teaching contents diversity, flexible teaching methods, and closing to live and children, on the contrary, the presupposition education has strict and complete plan. Therefore, the incidental education is suitable for children’s characteristics. Teachers select teaching contents incidentally based on the children’s growth need. Teachers could take various opportunities to guide children growth, and promote children’s growth comprehensively. In addition, teacher professional development should have the ability of appropriate allocation teaching resources. Teachers should improve the incidental education level to upgrade the kindergarten’s education quality and promote children’s growth. Teacher professional development requires teacher should deal with the problems in the process of incidental education. However, in the specific teaching process, some teachers are still confused about the contents and methods of incidental education.The paper applied narrative inquiry as research method, and the research object is teacher Y. The researcher applied observation and interview methods to collect the narrative materials of incidental education during the four months. In a complete teaching process, the researcher analysis the purpose of incidental education, meanwhile, the researcher interview children’s reflection. Furthermore, the researcher acquired the teaching effect by follow-up recording. In the analysis process of narrative materials, the researcher selects Children Culture and Educational Ecology as basic theory, Phenomenology as philosophical basis, and based on Methodology. The researcher collects the materials of teacher Y and Y’s kindergarten at first. Secondly the researcher narrated teacher’s education experience and working experience. Then, the researcher analyzed narrative materials of transitional link of live activities, corner activities and some examples of teaching activities.The fifth part of research is research findings. The paper discusses some aspects of the findings; including teachers view on children affecting teachers’ incidental education, the relation between incidental education and children’s characteristics, values of incidental education and so on. Finally, the researcher makes suggestions on several aspects, such as teachers’ view on children, attitude to incidental education, orientation values and family support.
