Small class teaching is a trend of modern teaching reform, it increases with the decrease of the number of students, to promote the better development of students. However, due to the current level of junior high school students learning ability is not high, in the overall process of grasping the classroom, improve the learning efficiency and the lack of, so to a certain extent, hindered the development of modern education teaching.Based on classroom teaching, this paper discusses how to improve students’ classroom learning ability under the background of small class based on the historical and social teaching practice. In the first part of this research background and significance, the domestic and foreign research, contents, methods and innovations; the first chapter defines the concept of class teaching, discusses the characteristics of the small class; the second chapter defines the concept of classroom learning ability, put forward three kinds of forms of classroom learning ability: self learning ability, learning ability, accept interactive learning capacity; the third chapter of the class learning in the classroom under the background of overall analysis, on the one hand, the student research and teacher interviews, analyzes the current situation of the students lack of classroom learning ability, on the other hand, the small class teaching in the classroom to enhance the learning ability the advantages, and puts forward the theory basis to improve classroom learning ability of small class background; the fourth chapter puts forward the background in the class to enhance some important strategies of classroom learning ability, the learning Case guiding strategies, special operations strategy, autonomous learning strategy of self learning ability improve more effective; learning situation tracking strategy, effective listening strategies, note taking strategies more effectively to enhance learning; cooperative learning strategy, team promotion strategy, operation group strategy is more focused on interactive learning ability promotion. The fifth chapter introduces the two covers a number of strategies to improve teaching.
