With the deepening of the curriculum reform, textbooks have become tools or means to achieve the teaching goal, which is no longer the original object of worship and sole teaching resources. Thus physical teachers, faced with how to use the teaching materials, should no longer echo what the books say. Instead, they should develop the materials, which can effectively alleviate the contradiction between teaching practice and teaching materials, making them adapt to the learning and development of students. The teaching material’s "2nd development" mainly refers to teachers, teaching materials, students in three aspects, and basically regroups and digs the content of textbooks as well as the order of the chapter so as to improve the classroom efficiency.High school physics teachers are faced with different levels of teaching objects. What’s worse, the teaching materials are not so perfect. So reasonable secondary development of the physics teaching materials are very necessary. In class, teachers should use appropriate teaching methods, making the teaching material content more specific and vivid. Thus the students will learn more actively, and their comprehensive skills can also be effectively improved in the learning process. What’s more, it is helpful to cultivate positive emotions and have correct values. Last but not least, it can help students meet the concepts of new physics courses better. So how can we make the best of the teaching materials? It deserves careful pondering.Although many scholars have done some related research about the secondary development of the teaching materials before, the author’s research has its unique innovation. This thesis is divided into six chapters. The first chapter mainly discusses the purpose and background of the study. The second chapter defines the related concepts, analyzes the research status at home and abroad. The third chapter deals with the statistical analysis of categorical data of the use of the teaching materials of high school physics teachers in Wuxi. The fourth chapter is the center section of this paper, which combines the author’s and other excellent teachers’practical teaching experience. Then the author puts forward the principle, strategy and the basic form of the design of the secondary development of the physics teaching materials of senior high school. The fifth chapter, based on the discussion of the previous chapter, selects three teaching points from the compulsory physics textbooks of high school. The author applies the design of the secondary development to making a specific teaching design in class. The author selects two classes in Grade One of high school as the research objects. The detailed experimental results are given by summarizing and analysing the data from interests, learning attitude, learning achievements in physics learning. The sixth chapter is a summary of this thesis, which makes a comprehensive exposition of this thesis. The author also puts forward her new understanding, thinking and confusion of the secondary development of the teaching materials.In this study, the author puts forward the "nearest development area", "to stimulate interest in learning", "step by step" principle through the methods of interviews and survey. Meanwhile, combined with the high school physics class, the paper also sums up 4 strategies of "demonstration experiment", "the living examples", "the desire to explore" and "the title change", and summarizes that the teaching material can be adjusted to a reasonable order, or be added, cut, and created, of which the effect is quite good. The paper can provide theoretical and practical guidance for physics teachers and bring some new ideas and opinions to current teaching. Also it is sincerely hoped that the physics teachers are able to attach importance to the 2nd development of teaching materials.
