The textbook is the direct resource for teachers and students.The quality of textbook will directly affect students’ learning effect.The illustration is an important component of the textbook, which is the carrier can not be ignored according to the learning needs and the psychological needs of students.The quality of text illustration is related to the effects of teachers’ teaching and the effectiveness of students’ learning.The desire of students of different ages is not the same.The text illustration has a special significance for the students in the junior stage, which is a point neglected by the scholars in the previous studies of text illustration. This study based on the thephysiological and psychological needs of the junior stage students,selecting three versions of the junior stage Chinese text illustration since the 1980s to study and explore the development and existing problems of the junior stage Chinese text illustrations, through a large number of literature reading and questionnaire analysis.This paper is divided into five parts:the first is the introduction, mainly expounds the research significance, research methods and ideas, literature review and definition of core concepts.The first chapter is the form research of junior stage Chinese text illustration in three edition textbooks, including the research of the illustrations’ number, type and arrangement. The second chapter is the content research of junior stage Chinese text illustration in three edition textbooks, mainly analyzed the material, the character gender and moral elements of the text illustration systematically.The third chapter is the replace and the evolution research of junior stage Chinese text illustration in three edition textbooks, including research on the historical background of the illustrations and the composition and color design of the same text illustrations. The fourth chapter reflect on the present problems of junior stage Chinese text illustration in the elementary school, and put forward my thoughts and suggestions, through the questionnaire survey.
