In 2014, the Ministry of education proposed the views of "moral education". However, the concretion of "moral education" is the development of students’core quality. Every student is different and shows different core quality, strong and weak. The students’ core quality is realized through the teaching of the subject. So how will the chemistry teaching of Senior High School (especially the teaching of element compounds) train and realize the students’ core quality? At present, the chemistry teaching of Senior High School emphasizes the recitation (equations and experiments) and ignores the training of the ability of students. This runs counter to the idea of new curriculum reform. Based on the above problems, every educator is searching for optimizing the classroom teaching, in order to train the chemistry attainments and improve the core quality of students.This article will detail what the core quality of chemistry discipline is. Element compounds have complex and trivial characteristics. Under the guidance of the theory of constructivism and the theory of humanism, the teaching mode of independent cooperative inquiry is adopted. Two concrete teaching cases will show how to realize the subject quality and improve the student’s core quality through the study of element compounds. After practice, the validity of this teaching mode is studied in detail. I studied the classroom video and conducted case study. After that I conducted a questionnaire survey. Through the analysis of the data, the conclusions are following: during the teaching of element compounds of high senior school, the teaching mode of autonomous Learning, Cooperation and Exploration is conducive to stimulate students’ learning motivation, strengthen the cooperation among students, train divergent thinking, cultivate innovative ability and the concept of lifelong learning. This will also strongly train the chemistry attainments of students and then develop the core quality of students.
