Blended Learning (B-Learning) is a hot research on education in recent years, it will get best learning effect at the lowest cost because it combines the advantages of traditional classroom and online learning. The traditional face-to-face teaching has a rigorous system of classroom discipline and classroom, real teaching environment, complete curriculum system structure, etc. But at the same time, the time is short and communication is limited between teachers and students, students’ learning is limited by time and space. E-learning can let students to study in their fragment time whether walking, sitting, lying down, or on the ship, on the plane, on the road, and communicate with teachers, students, or the industry experts, it is a lifelong learning. But it also has shortcomings, knowledge structure is not complete, there is no institutional constraints, poor perseverance learners always fall by the wayside. Therefore, the popularity of blended learning mode is the main trend in the development of school education.In this paper, based on the "Foundation of Computer Software Technology" example, which conduct the study on the design and application research of blended learning in colleges and universities, this paper discusses the research background, theoretical basis, definition and mode of blended learning, analysis the advantages and disadvantages of traditional classroom learning and online learning, analyses the factors related to blended learning, and these elements organic combination, pay attention to developing students’ non-intelligence factors. For non-computer major students in colleges and universities, the problems existing in computer basic course teaching, and puts forward effective "blended learning in the classroom as the center" the teaching design pattern.Take the curriculum of network and information center of yunnan university as an example, which launched the design and practice research on blended learning. Finally, the experimental data were collected for analysis, the results show that the new teaching mode, improve the students’ literacy, programming, practical ability andautonomous learning ability, innovation spirit and team cooperation ability, the training goal of colleges and universities and the social demand. it proved a good reference of teaching for the majority of teachers and promote the popularization of blended learning in university education.
