Parent-child communication is an interactive process between parents and children.The quality of communication directly affects the development of parent-child relationship and the child’s physical and mental health.This paper based on researching the present situation of parent-child communication,discovering the problems of it,then stating the necessity of group work intervention.In order to improve parent-child communication skills,the social worker planned a series of group activities by using group work,including understanding the importance of communication,learning communication skills and practicing it.The paper evaluated effects of parent-child communication group by quantitative study.Let team members fill in parent-child communication skills scale and group feedback form,used to discuss the effects of group work in improving parent-child communication skills and condition.The paper found that the group work has remarkable effects in improving parent-child communication relationships.As it shows that the communication awareness of team member has been enhanced,and the communication skill has been enriched.What’s more,the team members are satisfied with the contents of group activities and the expression of social worker.The group goals have been reached.Finally,the writer rethought the process of group intervention and practice results with professional perspective,and put forward enlightenment about how to make better use of group work in perfecting parent-child communication relationships.
