With the rapid change of our country, requirements of high-quality personnel are also getting higher and higher. Social development is inseparable from talented person, and talent person can’t do without a good education and right educational methods. As a basic subject of education, mathematics plays a crucial role for students thinking, and has penetrated into all aspects of daily life. At present, there are many problems of middle school mathematics education, this directly affects the students’ mathematical thinking ability, and restricts the realization of quality education objectives. Mathematics teaching which is not just the progress of imparting mathematics knowledge should put students’ mathematical thinking ability in an important position.In the teaching process, teachers should combine with the actual situation, correctly understand students’thinking ability and stage of development. Through continuous guidance, teachers make the students ability to understand the law of things and independently analyze and summarize. Finally, personal qualities continue to increase. For the problems of middle school mathematics teaching process, to improve the quality of mathematics teaching, this paper makes a study for mathematical thinking ability training strategy and a new method of mathematical thinking of middle school students.This paper applies reference literature reviews, interview method, and investigation practice, studies students’mathematical thinking and training status. This paper discusses the research background, research status at home and abroad and related literatures. It provides a theoretical basis for the study under analysis of basic information and quality of mathematical thinking, developmental characteristics of mathematical thinking, and the relationship between mathematical thinking methods and mathematics teaching. Combined with teaching experience, it analyzes the problems of mathematics thinking teaching of middle school students, proposes mathematical thinking strategies, and discusses a new method of mathematical thinking.
