Based on the rich traditional Uighur music background in Kashi area, the thesis, with spiral curriculum concept proposed by Jerome S. Bruner (famous American psychologist and educator) in his book The Process of Education,1965, choosed the middle-school-based Uighur music teaching textbooks of middle school in Kashi area as study object and makes a full investigation on the developing situation on school-based teaching textbooks of tradition Uighur music in middle school. On that basis, the thesis made a full study on the development pattern of school-based Uighur music teaching textbooks of middle school in Kashi area under the guidance of spiral curriculum idea. It expected that this thesis provided theoretical foundation and practical references for the development of school-based music teaching textbooks in Kashi and even the whole minority ethnic region.Based on the purpose and aim of the research, the thesis employed qualitative research in the specific process with the comprehensive application of document analysis method, description methodology and textbook analysis methodology. Analysis method was used to collect the existing domestic and foreign literature. By comprehensively employing questionnaire method, interviewing method and textbook analysis method, the thesis fully study and analyze the situation of school-based Uighur music teaching textbooks of middle school in Kashi area. By comprehensively employing analytical method, description methodology, the thesis described and analyzed the application principle and strategy in the development of school-based Uighur music teaching textbooks of middle school in Kashi area. The description analysis methodology was also employed to describe and study the construction of the model of school-based Uighur music teaching textbooks under the guidance of spiral orientation concept. The data showed in the chart of the thesis is gained through the analysis of SPSS on the basis of 60 effective questionnaires for teacher and 620 effective questionnaires for students.The body of the thesis consists of five parts, which include introduction, literature review, research method, research result and research conclusion. The introduction includes the background, meaning, aim and issue of the research. Literature review mainly discusses the designing process of the research, including research object, measuring tools and specific research steps. The research result proposes the application principle and strategy for school-based Uighur music teaching textbooks of middle school on the basis of research. The concluding part provides a whole set of SBCP development pattern of school-based Uighur music teaching textbooks of middle school, with which as the basis, a teaching case design of two units in school-based Uighur music teaching textbooks of middle school is hence presented.
