Geography concept is the essential attribute of geographical object abstraction, it is a profound reflection of the essential characteristics of geographic objects is geography knowledge of basic elements, is an important part of the geography curriculum, learning geography knowledge of the central link. All along, the high school geography concept teaching is one of the core contents of the geography teaching research. In this paper, the concept of high school geography teaching and the current situation of the development and the existing problems in the basic research object by literature method. By using literature method, observation method, interview method, questionnaire survey method and other aspects of the analysis of the status quo, analysis of its existing problems, analysis of the causes of these problems. Based on the analysis of theoretical research and current situation investigation, the application strategy of geography concept teaching in senior high school was constructed. Finally, the practical application of the teaching design of geography concept teaching in senior high school was carried out. This paper is divided into six parts:The first section is Introduction. This paper introduces the background and significance of the research on the high school geography teaching, and the research status of the concept teaching in senior high school. At the same time, the paper introduces the research goal, content, method, technical route and plan of the paper.The second section is the high school geography concept teaching overview. Define the connotation of the concept of high school geography, from the new curriculum reform theory, constructive learning theory, cognitive learning theory, students’psychological development theory four aspects of its teaching theory.The third section is the concept of high school geography teaching present situation investigation and analysis. This part mainly through the integrated use of observation method, interview method, questionnaire investigation present situation investigation and analysis, summarized the current high school geography concept teaching present situation and existing problems, and its reasons are analyzed.The fourth section is the concept of high school geography teaching strategy research to application. In theory and the status quo, on the basis of investigation and analysis, construction of the application of the concept, for application strategy, and put forward the teaching strategy of the implementation of the principle.The fifth section is the practice of high school geography concept teaching strategy research. Under this section in the construction of teaching strategy, combined with specific teaching high school geography curriculum content design and application. To compulsory 2 of section I of chapter 4 "the location selection of industry" as an example for the teaching design.The sixth section is divided into research conclusion and prospect. Is mainly stated in this paper, we study the basic conclusions and the shortage of the remains, and based on this, advances the outlook, to offer reference for further research.
