With the reforming of the new curriculum, the traditional evaluation methods can not meet advocated self-learning, self-evaluation of educational philosophy nowadays, to adapt to the new curriculum standards, evaluation of students have higher requirements, not only can new evaluation modes be better reflect student learning, but also pay attention to recording students’ learning process for students evaluation of learning abilities. In the process of valuation, based on student self-assessment, surveillance as well, to improve student self-reflection ability. Portfolio assessment as a kind of process evaluation, has been repeatedly applied in the students’ evaluation of learning ability.Based on the philosophical hermeneutics and the constructivism learning theory, according to the actual situation of Q Middle School of Hualong County of Qinghai province, chooses and adjusts to comprehensive portfolio model established by Miao Zhuang Lu Tung University and will be used to evaluate students’ learning ability on comparative tests and tested. It replies to the effect of integrated portfolio’s application through the students’ questionnaires and teachers’ interviews.Experimental studies and feedback surveys following conclusions:Firstly,Integrated portfolio in the evaluation of students’ learning ability which really can be achieved in a timely manner, multi-angle to assess student learning outcomes;Secondly, Integrated portfolio of use, can stimulate students’ interest in geography and enhance students’ ability to geographical practice;At last, The records of integrated portfolio can interpret the students’ periodic performance, and then sum up the parts which need to improve in students’ learning.Through the analysis of experimental results lead to the following recommendations:Firstly, Integrated portfolio of select targeted. For national schools, portfolio should be selected and formulated by teachers according to national habits and characteristics;Secondly, Teachers can regulate the validity of portfolio base on the students’ learning level, so as to evaluate the learning ability of students;At last, It will be more conducive to assess student knowledge and ability that teachers can quantify the evaluation of some the ability of portfolio, and then combined with the tests.
