Nowadays, with the reform of physical education and the strengthen of lifelong sports, it’s very important to explore how to promote students’ sports motivation by using the teaching methods what can stimulate students’ interest in quality, and enable students to be voluntary, autonomy, and freedom when they participate in sports activities. This paper mainly uses experimental methodology, documentary research, psychological assessment, interview, mathematical statistics, and logical analysis,and choosing 203 students from Jintan Hua Luogeng school in JinTan as the research object, using Sports Study Interest Scale and Sports Motivation Scale as the measuring tool, to study the influence of the teaching methods what can stimulate students’ interest on junior high school students’ sports motivation. The following conclusions were drawn from the experimental research:First, before the experiment,students’ learning negative interest is the highest score and the sports attention get the lowest average score in the six dimensions of interest; students’ internal motivation score get the highest in the three dimensions of motivation.Second, before the experiment, a study on the relationship between students’ interest and motivation in physical education,find that the student’ interest in every dimension have the positive correlation above average with internal motivation.Third, by comparing the interest level of control group and the experimental group before and after the experiment, find that, the experimental intervention effectively improve the interest level of junior high school students.Fourth, comparing the motivation level of control group with the experimental group before and after the experiment, find that, the teaching method of stimulating students’ interest can improve students’ motivation level higher,especially in the internal motivation.Fifth, although the boys’ interest and motivation level is higher than girls, but there is no significant difference between them.
