Countermeasure Research On Ideological And Political Education Of Needy College Students

Since the reform and opening-up, economy has rapidly developed in our country, and people’s consumption level has greatly gone up, which is followed by the widening gap between the rich and the poor. As a special group, needy college students tend to encounter with ideological and psychological problems under economic and spiritual pressure. In recent years, our country has promoted a series of policies to help needy college students, which do help them materially. However, some needy college students have problems such as the loss of political belief, lacking ideals, and having serious psychological problems, and so on. This shows that needy college students are not only faced with material poverty, but also with spiritual poverty. Based on this situation, universities should insist on the principle “Students-centered, all for students”, try to alleviate both economic poverty and spiritual poverty, and strengthen the ideological and political education on needy college students.Through a study on needy college students’ thoughts, behavior, psychological problems and causes, this thesis mainly deals with the deficiency in ideological and political education of needy college students, analyzes reasons that have resulted in the problems, and puts forward policies and countermeasures to strengthen ideological and political education on needy college students. The thesis consists of four chapters: Chapter 1 offers an overview of problems concerning needy college students; Chapter 2 illustrates the content of ideological and political education of the needy college students; Chapter 3 analyzes the present situation of ideological and political education of the needy college students; Chapter 4 discusses the countermeasures for ideological and political education of the needy college students. By means of combining economic aid with ideological education on the needy college students, especially with education on the Core Values of Socialism, pertinence and efficiency will be enhanced to strengthen ideological and political education on the needy college students.
