Electronic Games was born in 1980 s, and popular in whole the world now. And as an important type of games, RPG game was also welcomed by players from the world. Players get a chance to experience the life of others and get rid of themselves in the game. At the same time, players communicate with each other and find the identity to themselves and the whole players group which they belong to.However, the whole society doesn’t have a friendly attitude to electronic games. Especially under the background of society in China, games are considered to be the reason why teenagers are addicted to the Internet and have so much violence. Obviously, they ignore the positive influence of games.This paper analyzed the identity recognition status of players in the role play games in self and group aspects, which is based on the drama play theory and identity theory, and found that game players not only have identity through the game, but also making themselves change from culture consumers to culture producer. Besides, the game culture has been set up surrounded by game players. Through this game culture, game players found their group identity.
