The Research On Social Support System For The Only-child-died Old People In City

At present, with the deepening of the situation of China’s population aging, the number of the only-child-died family gradually increases, the problems of the only-child-died old people become more and more the domestic public issues of government departments, and cause the attention of academic world. The city is a concentrated area of the former one-child family planning policy, and the one-child family is common. The only-child-died old people are scattering in the streets of the city, live in different communities. The only-child-died old people in city are the few of the large population in urban, they are the contributors for the country’s family planning policy. As the only children died, the one-child family triangle structure is fractured, children endowment function is damaged, children’s comfort in mental emotional life is lack, children vacate in life care. There are different widespread concerns of only-child-died old people in city, such as no one raise when they are old, nobody care when they are ill, none can rely on when they need, no man bury when they died. They face different life difficulties and demands in life with the old people who have children. They urgently need state and society to weave a social support network for them, to help them go out of the shadow of lost children, rebuild the social life, and grow old like other old people.Under the guidance of hierarchy of needs theory and social support theory, this article chooses Kunming as a case. According to the model of social support practice, from define the problem, to assess the social support network, analyze the demands, reconstruct the social support system, we investigated and made an analysis on social support and living conditions of the only-child-died old people in Kunming. On the basis of assessing the social support of the only-child-died old people in Kunming, We combine with main life difficulties and demands of the only-child-died old people in Kunming, and put forward the proposals of social support systems based on the government-led, community, society(organization) to support and supplement with family for the only-child-died old people in Kunming. By the four heavy support network construction from inside to out: family, community, government, society(group), we hope the only-child-died old people in Kunming receive maximum support and assurance in aspects such as economic support, spiritual comfort and life care, solve difficulties in reality and the future life, and provide reference to the construction of social support systems of the only-child-died old people in city for other cities.
