Substance:The effectiveness of high school history education is crucial to the development of both students and teachers. More attention should be attached to the education of key subjects in accordance with the new curriculum reform. High school history teachers can combine "performance improvement" with "history cultivation" by introducing frontiers of history study into high school history education. From the perspective of organizing teaching material and building subject system, this paper concentrates on reforming history class and improving history education based on first-hand teaching experience. Lesson of China’s movement towards internationalization since modern times is taken as an example to illustrate the combination of frontiers of history study with high school history education. This paper tries to systematically organize and reorganize high school history lessons from the perspective of absorbing theoretical achievements in historiography and introducing history research methods. For one aspect, in order to fully and objectively reflect the trend of China’s development, from the perspective of "China’s way to become internationalized" and using the changes in the world after the discovery of the new sea route as a starting point, related factors and details in the past five hundred years in China are organized in some certain order and connected according to importance, such as the Eastern Asian pirate issue in late Ming Dynasty, Chinese pirates, the immigration to Eastern Asia, the five treaty ports by the 1842 treaty of Nanjing, sending ministers between China and UK, joining World War I, joining the world anti-Fascist camp, becoming a member of the United Nations, carrying out the policy of Reform and Opening up, high-speed railway diplomacy, building silk road economic belt, etc. For another aspect, methodologies of history research can be introduced into teaching practice in order to reflect the integration of subjects. That is to say, while maintaining the priority of history, the geographical and biological factors which influenced the historical development are also emphasized. Using examples to break the barriers among liberal arts subjects has very instructive significance in history examinations. One expectancy is to arouse students’interest in learning through history education and improve their all-round competency and creative abilities. Another is to avoid any repetition of junior middle school history teaching materials, especially in teaching ideas and history literacy.
