| In the long river of the development of Chinese school physical education, each period had advanced representative figures lead navigation. In the modern and contemporary historical process of the inheritance and the evolution of the Chinese school physical education, Mao Zedong who was a great proletarian revolutionist, strategist and theorist, and also the leader of new China, used his lifelong physical exercise to interpret the value, function and roles of the physical exercise, which showed his rich and profound knowledge of physical education and his willpower of lifelong physical exercise.There was no doubt that Mao Zedong played an important role in leading and promoting the theory and practice of school physical education, and made great contributions to the development of Chinese school physical education.Mao venerated physical exercise because of the love of it. The view about physical education of Mao Zedong was the crystallization of his wisdom out of his lifelong physical practice personally, which not only had a profound and long-term effects in the history of Chinese school physical education, but also had important theoretical reference value and practical directive function on the current reforms and development of school physical education.This study took "the research of the view about school physical education of Mao Zedong" as the topic, used the methods of literature review and historical analysis, thoroughly collated, excavated and analyzed the related writings of the view about school physical education of Mao, which profoundly analyzed Mao Zedong’s view about school physical education and its enlightenment to the current reforms and development of Chinese school physical education on the basis of fully absorbing the fruitful achievements of the previous researchers; and also provided theoretical reference for the healthy operation and healthy development of school physical education in China.The results of the study showed that Mao Zedong’s view about school physical education was reflected in six aspects:(1) Propose the view of moral, intelligence, physics education and physics the first; (2) Advocate the concept of lifelong physical exercise; (3) Venerate the spirit of martialism; (4) Emphasize the diversity function of physical exercise; (5) Propose the achievement of spiritual joy was also the significance of physical exercise; (6) Emphasize the vital function of consciousness in students’physical exercise.On these bases, the enlightenment of Mao Zedong’s view about school physical education to the current reforms and development of Chinese school physical education was put forward: (1) Mao Zedong’s view that health first and study second had the guiding significance to the current school physical education; (2) Mao Zedong’s view of lifelong physical exercise had good effect on the development of students’consciousness and habit of lifelong physical exercise; (3) The spirit of martialism that Mao Zedong venerated would help to exercise and cultivate students’willpower; (4) The diversity function of physical exercise that Mao Zedong emphasized would help to expand multiple values of school physical; (5) The consciousness of physical exercise that Mao Zedong advocated would help to realize the school physical concept of student-centered. |
