With the constantly advancement and development of the process of ICT in education, network courses gradually become a significant form of course, Forums, as an auxiliary tool of network courses, are used widely. They have the huge potential to improve the quality of online learning. The researchers believe that this potential is reflected in the ability to bring discussion, conversation and social presence into online learning. However, it can not achieve the above potential to improve the quality of learning naturally by using the forums. What the common phenomenon are low participation of learners, low quality of the posting, and the formalistic discussion and so on. This paper regarded the knowledge generation as the focal point in online learning forums and put forward the corresponding strategies on the basis of the overall overview of knowledge generation, and combined with the actual situation of the online learning forums on the Moodle platform.In this paper, three characteristics are summarized as the key points to grasp and understand knowledge generation in online forums by overviewing the related theory of knowledge generation. The author reviewed and analyzed the existing problems of the knowledge generation, and found that the topics of discussion are preinstalled seriously, the postings and the discussion are superficial, A part of the organizers make a mechanical evaluation, fail to guide the students to learn and reflect. On the basis of literature review, the author constructed the process model of knowledge generation, and analyzed establishment of specific objectives, the generative topics of discussion, dynamically generation and spiral increasing of the knowledge, the reflection of the learners. Then, according to the problem of knowledge generation mentioned above, and the knowledge generation process put forward in this paper the author put forward three strategies from three aspects:"design the effective topic of discussion to prepare for generation"; "Promote knowledge conversion to guarantee generation"; "Play a role of team and leader to support generation " to realize the goal of knowledge generation, effectively play the potential of the forums and Improve the quality of online learning.Finally, based on the forum of the" information technology and curriculum integration" online course platform, to implement the strategies of knowledge generation, then analyzed the effect from two parts:firstly, added up the total number of the postings, the same as the replies, the follow-up postings. Secondly, analyzed generation of knowledge by using the method of analyzing contents, on the basis of the relevant coding system. Further reflection and summary:the problems existing in the research and proposing the direction of follow-up study.
