With the increasing development of Chinese new curriculum reform, cultivate student’s "Reading Aesthetic Ability"has become one of the goals of the Chinese curriculum. "Chinese Reading Aesthetic Experience" contributes to the improvement of it.Coincidentally,in the early 1930 s,American’s famous literature educator, one of the founders of the Reader Response Theory — Louise M. Rosenblatt foresaw that, "Reading Aesthetic Experience"(RAE) plays a vital role in person’s lifelong development and the construction of a democratic society.She maintains that,mother-tongue courses should focus on developing students’ RAE.However,due to the subjectivity and abstractness of RAE, it’s difficult to monitor and evaluate it.Rosenblatt’s Ttansactional Theory(TT) may provide certain theoretical support of studying it. With the deep influence of Dewey’s Empirical Naturalism Philosophy and Aesthetics,she proposes the idea of "Efferent/Aesthetic Continuum".The paper attempts to study students’ RAE in Chinese reading teaching based on TT. It mainly focus on three main questions:In the Chinese reading teaching,how does students’ RAE generate? How to monitor and evaluate it?How to further improve it?The paper mainly adopts the method of comparative study.Firstly,compares the "Aesthetic Experience"of TT with that of Reception Aesthetic Theory represented by Jauss and Iser, in order to clarify the unique connotation of it:Universality(everyone can have RAE),Instrumentality(RAE can promote the development of individual and democratic society),Expansibility(RAE can promote the future development of the individual),laying a foundation for further analysis.Secondly,compares Rosenblatt’s RAE with that in Chinese Curriculum Standard, proposing three main problems.Thirdly,based on TT,combined with Chinese reading cases,the paper discuss the inner and outer generation mechanism of RAE.From interior,she puts forward the concept of "Reader’s Stance",classifies "Efferent Stance"reading and "Aesthetic Stance"reading,and advocates the reading method between them.From exterior,she studies the influence of Literary Style and Classroom Environment on the RAE, Practical Texts and Literary Text don’t decide how much RAE generates in advance,they are only influence factors.Besides,democratic classroom environment contributes to the acquisition of RAE.In regard to the methods of monitoring, evaluation and promotion, due to TT is only the theoretical study of RAE,not practice research,Rosenblatt hasn’t proposed any operation method.I mainly studies the late achievements of TT in the practical aspect.In combing the documents,comparing and analyzing,more scientific operation methods are selected,which are elaborated with the cases of Chinese reading teaching in the paper:"Monitoring Method"(MM)is aimed at formative-assessing,the paper mainly introduces Sebesta’s Aesthetic Experience Accessing Hierarchy and Hansson’s Verbal Scale to monitor Articulate and Inarticulate Responses."Assessment Method"(AM)is aimed at summative-evaluating,the paper mainly introduces Cox and Many’s Five-point Rating Scale.’Promotion Strategy"(PS)is aimed at improving literal expression of RAE,the paper mainly studies assessment methods with the idea of Anderson’s "Poetry as Response"and the Rhetoric Knowledge of ancient Chinese.TT is the upper philosophy in the study of RAE, MM,AM,PS may contribute to the exploitation of more local operational approaches.
