Study On Popularity Of Western Festival And Its Ideological Risk In Chinese Campus

With the continuous development of the world globalization, Chinese cultural exchanges with the west were frequent. The festival culture which is a part of the culture has also been introduced into China and western festivals are soon popular in China, such as Valentine’s Day, April Fool’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day. The college students are interest in the fashion, stimulating, romantic and fresh western culture. The west festival mixed with western values and culture have effect on the inexperienced students.This article learns from the angle of the culture, psychology and sociology commence, examining an university student phenomenon over the western festivals completely. This article took a survey to understand the status of western festivals population among college students and analyze the root causes of this phenomenon with Western holiday related theories, understand the risk of arising of popularity western festivals in university. Though some inquisition to investigate real reason of the phenomenon, we can know that western festivals is accepted for the development of modern industry and economic globalization, which is the performance of cultural interaction, characteristics of western festivals in times and mental characteristic of contemporary university students etc. There are many comprehensive factors.Based on analysis of the causes of the phenomenon of college students over the western festivals, the article focuses on invigorating traditional festivals, multi-linkage to strengthen the prevention and control of defense, play the initiative of the students themselves put forward countermeasures.This have an important ideological inspiration for us. How to inherit and carry forward traditional Chinese culture festival to revive the spirit of the Chinese culture of the times, strengthen the guidance of Marxism to socialist ideology work, effectively resist the penetration of Western ideology, strengthen safety education in universities.
