National education levels gradually increase with the popularization of higher education; meanwhile, the employment pressure is growing for graduates from secondary vocational schools. Due to the change, some of the employers elevate the requirement for employment too. Therefore, it is more important for secondary vocational school students to participate in ongoing education. In 2005, Beijing Municipal Supply and Marketing Institute set up online classes. Because of convenience of time and place, many students choose online classes as an important way to extend their education. However, as the number of online students increasing, the numbers of students who cannot graduate within the specified time of basic education are also increasing year by year. Some students spent years without graduation, a small number of students even drop out of school for various reasons.In this paper, the related documentation about the domestic vocational institutions students’ demand for online education, domestic and international current online vocational education status and online education learners’ ongoing study has been studied. With the reference of the research at home and abroad, it studied Beijing Municipal Supply and Marketing School online classes. It analyzed the ongoing online education of the graduates from Beijing Municipal Supply and Marketing Institute and main factors influencing students’ ongoing study.In this paper, David Kember’s online education dropout theoretical model was used as the basic theoretical framework, to design the outline of questionnaires for the factors for online ongoing education study and individual interviews. Methods include questionnaire survey, interviews and statistical analysis and others. Samples are the students of Beijing Municipal Supply and Marketing Institute who registered for online classes. Questionnaires and interviews were taken by random sampling. After analysis of questionnaires and interviews, the author concludes the key factors for vocational graduates to take online education are: help from teachers and other classmates; emergencies interference; support from the external environment; motivation to get higher social level and income; student self-learning ability and initiative; overall planning and learning capabilities of students; acceptance of online education to upgrade their qualifications for graduates of vocational education; how student cherish the opportunity and time to learn and study before they ask for extension, and so on. For the above mentioned factors, the author proposed the corresponding countermeasures, including strengthen the spirit of support for graduates, and improve online education quality, enhance service awareness from online education management, make family and social environment factors play the positive role of secondary vocational students in the online education, pay close attention to the special circumstances of the secondary vocational school graduates etc., to help vocational graduates successfully complete their online education, reduce the risk of online education learning, and promote the normal development of online education. In some aspects, it is practical and worthy learning.
