Multimedia learning theory of Meyer is not only a theoretical research, but also a multimedia theory proved by practice. This study intends to make multimedia learning theory of Meyer introduced into the design of effective teaching, in order to improve the ability of teachers in multimedia design, so as to improve the teaching quality. It is pretty important for teachers to improve their teaching skills and enhance their level of media theory. Professor Meyer has had repetitious in-depth studies on multimedia cognitive theory, he put forward the theory of "multimedia in multimedia learning" in one book, in addition, he and his colleagues through repeated experiments, proved that the cognitive theory is correct and scientific. He also believes that the multimedia information according to the mental work is better than no multimedia design in accordance with the mental work people have meaningful learning.This paper is mainly refers to the theory of teaching practice of Meyer’s cognitive theory of multimedia learning, multimedia teaching software design and development, in order to improve multimedia teaching software design and development of the level of teachers. Around this theme,this article carries on the elaboration from seven chapters.The first part is the introduction, firstly introduced the background and significance of this research, then determines the research target and research methods, finally conduct the definition of the core concepts related to the study. The second part introduced the domestic and foreign various researches about the multimedia learning, multimedia learning theory and effective teaching research literature, and,then respectively induct and summarize the foreign and domestic research achievements and shortcomings, finally convenient to determine the direction of research.The third part is the theoretical basis for research, including the Meyer multimedia learning theory and instructional system design theory, combing the related theories foundation, so that the research is based on the stable and reliable. The fourth part can be said to be the core of this paper,which mainly discusses the effective teaching design of Meyer theory of multimedia learning based strategy, including the teaching of information presentation strategies, tactics and strategies to eliminate the cognitive load, in addition including some presentation strategies such as preview strategy and multimedia coursewares demonstration time length control strategy. The design of multimedia software and coursewares these strategies can be applied to most of the time, let the reader have some achievement. The fifth part is an effective teaching case in high school, in case of "information technology" course content, enumerates some characteristics of the mattersneeding attention in multimedia courseware design and effective teaching design in proper order.The sixth part is the analysis of the design of teaching practice effect based on data collection,through the relevant conclusion. The last part is the summarization and conclusion of the study conclusion on the general situation, and then analyze the deficiencies and limitations of this paper,in addition the prospect for the future.
