We need a large number of talents who possesses innovative thinking to p romote vigorous development of the society today. Einstein said, imagination is m ore important than knowledge, because knowledge is limited, but imagination sum marize everything in the world, which promoting the social progress, is the source of knowledge evolution. In the era of knowledge economy, teachers in teaching should pay attention to the cultivation of students’ innovative thinking, laying a g ood foundation for students to be creative talents. Chemistry in junior high school is an enlightenment, playing an important role in the proccess of students into th e world of chemistry. However, in the traditional junior chemistry class, teachers as the so-called knowledge owner, only inculcate knowledge for students and alwa ys be a drunken singing "monologue" through examination or lecture to control st udents’ learning that are passive recipients and obedience. Therefore, many student s cannot feel much fun from the discipline itself, and also lose their active learn ing motivation and confidence, nor the inspiration and cultivation of innovative thi nking. "Student-based class" has become a top priority of current education teachi ng reform. Vigorously promoting and implementing the junior middle school chem istry have great significance for developing innovative talents in the new century. This paper sets student-based class, chemistry curriculum and teaching theory, the innovation education reform, education theory, education psychology and relat ed theory as the instruction, combining with my own teaching practice. Based on"student-based class” construction, the training principles, methods and specific i mplementation measures of innovative thinking for junior middle school students will be conducted the exploration, the discussion and the practice, which has gre at significance for the cultivation of innovative talents suitable for the development of the new century. This paper can be divided into four modules. First of all, it discusses the si gnificance of this topic proposed, the research background and feasibility of the is sue. After consulting a large number of domestic and foreign literature, it also ma ke a summary and analysis of related research at home and abroad. Second, it di scusses the connotation and characteristics of the "student-based class" and the inn ovative thinking, as well as conducts research in theory and also puts forward the corresponding teaching method on how to cultivate the innovative thinking com bining with a large number of related theory of pedagogy and education psycholo gy. And then, based on the questionnaire survey, it summarizes the teaching met hod and the study organization form used in junior middle school chemistry classr oom teaching, and explores the substantive testing. Finally, according to the result analysis and interview with students, it concludes to implement the results from the cultivation of innovative thinking.
