The strategies research of primary school computing teaching reasons from two aspects:One is the number operation plays an important role in our daily life and calculation contents account for most of the parts of the primary mathematics teaching contents. Another is the elementary students’ computing skills have received international praise and the primary calculation teaching has a fine tradition and its own characteristics.This study has two main contents: First, carry out primary school teachers’ and students’ current situation of implementation of teaching and learning on the calculation and summarize the achievements of the calculation teaching and the problems existing in the teaching in Kunming. Secondly, according to the different lesson types of the primary mathematics, collect new teaching lessons, practice lessons, review lessons and combine with the investigation and the theoretical basis chosen in this research to discuss the strategies of the primary calculation teaching.The main methods of the research are: literature method, investigation method,interview method, case study method, educational experience summary method.The main conclusions of the study are divided into four aspects: First, there are new changes in the contents of the mathematics textbooks published by the people education(Audited edition in 2013). These changes are reflected in the contents and the teaching methods. Especially it pays attention to the implementation of mathematics basic thoughts and basic experience. Second, the survey shows that the status of the calculation level of the primary school students in Kunming has the following characteristics:(1)On the students’ interest in the calculation, interest and the calculation result are positively correlated, but there are still some students do not like to calculate.(2)In learning attitude, the students in grade three are better than the students in grade six.(3) The level of calculation of the primary school students in urban has little to do with the level of calculation of the primary school students in suburban areas.(4)Calculation error is common and the students’ goodcalculation habits are need to be further cultivated. Third, there are similar confusion in the teachers’ calculation teaching. These confusion are mainly in resolving the problem of the relationship between the theory and algorithm, estimation teaching,cultivating students’ good habits, improving the accuracy and speed of calculation and so on. Meanwhile surveyed teachers strive to embody the new curriculum thoughts. However, there is a wide gap between the teaching level of primary school teachers in Kunming and the teaching level of teachers in developed areas in China.Fourth, the primary computing teaching strategies summed up in this study are as follows:(1)Pay attention to the cultivation of students’ positive emoting and attitude.(2)Guide the students to comprehend the theory, diversify and optimize the algorithm.(3)Attach great importance to mental computation, learn to estimate,strengthen written computation.(4)Pay attention to the stratification of the practice and the diversity of the form.(5)Improve the teachers’ own quality.
