With many minorities and big regional differences in Changshun, the Prefecture of Southern Guizhou, curriculum settings focused on the standards by Educational administration in schools for ethnic minorities are single and lack of ethnic minorities’ traditional culture and characteristics. Therefore,considering ethnic minorities’ unique living experiences, connecting their traditional culture with Chemistry teaching, development and utilization of Chemistry Curriculum Resources in secondary schools based on regional characteristics, minority culture and students’ situation is one of the most effective way to improve Chemistry teaching in secondary schools in Changshun County, which determines teachers’ adaption to New Curriculum Revolution and the most effective teaching.Because of my eight-year and more teaching experiences and exploration,there are five drawbacks I conclude: 1. poor and passive understandings on development and utilization of Chemistry Curriculum Resources; 2. barely under-development and under- utilization; 3. Incapacity of development and utilization; 4. less recognition to its practical value; 5. lack of minority traditional culture. On research mode building of development and utilization of Chemistry Curriculum Resources, principles of Selective and Adaptive,Leaning and Creative, Open and Cooperative, Economic and Adaptive,exploitable resources will be collected and arranged, which forms basic mode steadily.The thesis is included eight parts. Part one, Introduction to research background, meanings, objects, contents and methodologies; Part two,relevant literature review home and abroad; Part three, research theoretical basis; Part four, Explanations for the present situation of development and utilization of Chemistry Curriculum Resources in Changshun County; Part five, Analysis of questionnaires on development and utilization of Chemistry Curriculum Resources in Changshun County both for teachers and students;Part six, strategies of development and utilization of Chemistry CurriculumResources; Part seven, Reflections on development and utilization of Chemistry Curriculum Resources in Secondary schools in Changshun County;Part eight, Conclusion including research drawbacks and future plans.
