| The quality of backup talents is closely related to and vital for the development of competitive sports.As an important base for cultivating Chinese competitive talents, the cultivation of competitive talents in Chongqing greatly influences the development of national competitive sports.Since Chongqing became the direct-controlled municipality, the goals and tasks of the sports work in Chongqing have changed a lot. In view of the current situationsD the sports committee developed the strategy of shifting from city games to national games! and the strategy of connecting to the Olympics!. HoweverD for many reasons, the competitive sports in Chongqing do not achieve the desired effect. In the historical transitional period from a major sports country! to a sports power!, it is of great significance to study the backup talents in Chongqing to gain a better insight into the development of mass sports.Based on documents, this paper uses questionnaires, expert interviews and mathematic statistics to analyze the present situation of backup talents for competitive sports in Chongqing and finds that:1. The key projects of competitive sports in Chongqing are based on the achievements of previous national games and the development of different projects. Based on The Classification and Management Methods of Competitive Sports projects are further divided into Olympic key projectsD national games key projectsD potential advantageous projectsD basic projects and general projects. Moreover Dkey points of the next national games in Chongqing are boxing Dwrestling DbadmintonDdiving and shooting.2. The overall quality of the backup talents for competitive sports in Chongqing is not good enough. The source of athletesD the selection of athletesD the conflict between training and study, and the quality of coaches are all influencing factors.3. At present, the backup talents for competitive sports such as boxingD wrestling, badminton, and diving are mainly composed of those selected from primary and middle school, sports school, and other provinces. Shooting athletes are mainly made up of those selected from other provinces, supplemented by those chosen from elementary school. In a word, backup talents in Chongqing are not sufficient and qualified enough to meet the need of the development of competitive sports in Chongqing.4. The number of competitive sports# coaches is not that many and can#t meet the needs of athletes. In comprehensive, the education background is in a general low level for key event trainers(most of whom are under bachelor degree, or some get their bachelor degree through airmail correspondence),they had a limited theory level and which need a further progress.5. The contradiction between learning and training still exists, which is the main factor that influence the comprehensive abilities for competitive sports key events# backup.6. From an overall perspective, stadium facilities can basically meet the need of backup talents. However, with more investigations,stadium facilities for shooting and diving cannot be guaranteed.Based on the current situation, the present paper puts forward some suggestions. Chong Qing government should develop sports# agent in a overall way. And open a sports agent! subject through all the colleges and universities in Chong Qing, especially the master graduate students are encouraged to be positively participant in. And there should broaden the way and establish a qualified standard in athletes chosen. First of all, the government should issue relevant policies to support the infrastructure and stadium construction in local areas and improve the training environment for mass sports. Secondly, funds should be raised from various sources including sports lottery and funds of enterprises and society to better develop sports. Thirdly, the method of selecting athletes should be improved and the scope of athletes should be expanded. Fourth, excellent coaches should be hired and given more professional training. Finally, the scientific research team should be strengthened to provide scientific support for training. |
