| Chemistry is an experimental science which achieved great achievements. Curriculum attributes, curriculum concepts, design ideas, course objectives, course contents, recommendations of teaching & evaluation, textbook preparations in the new curriculum standards of chemistry education in senior high school, all reflect the importance of experiment teaching. In upgrading the quality of chemistry experiment teaching, the status of experiment teaching has been greatly improved. Unfortunately, there still exist significant differences in quality of chemistry experiment teaching among regions of our nation, particularly, between minority areas and inland developed areas. Based on the prophase investigation of chemistry experiment teaching in Minority Areas, it illustrates that the effect of chemistry experiment teaching does not depend on the laboratory facilities radically. Therefore, under the perspective of "effective teaching of chemistry experiment in senior high school of Minority Areas", the study firstly execute a survey. In the survey, questionnaires, interviews and on-site investigations are conducted on the teachers and students from 9 schools in different levels of Qiannan state in Guizhou Province. Then, under the analysis of the research, the research generalised the understandings of the meaning & the influencing factors to the effective teaching of chemistry experiment in senior high school of minority areas. In the end, the study try to make some suggestions on promoting the chemistry experiment teaching of minority areas. The researching included as three aspects: First, the research on investigation of chemistry experiment teaching in senior high school of Minority Areas- the case study of Qiannan State in Guizhou Province. The research select 9 schools to conduct a survey with two aspects which are "laboratory facilities" and "experiment teaching & lea`rning". Specifically, the survey around "laboratory facilities" is divided into three parts: lab configuration, lab teachers, operation & management of lab, apparatus & chemicals. Meanwhile, the survey around experiment teaching & learning! is divided into two parts: experiment teaching and experiment learning feedback. Particularly, the survey pays close attention to the different performances by students from different nationalities during experiment learning. Second, the understandings of the meaning to the effective teaching of chemistry experiment by teachers in minority areas. With using the content analysis method, the study try to give the the understandings of the meaning to the effective teaching of chemistry experiment by teachers in minority areas. Third, influencing factors to the effective teaching of chemistry experiment in senior high school of minority areas. According to the first & second research, the third research try to give the influencing factors to the effective teaching of chemistry experiment in senior high school of minority areas. Through the research, the results were showed as follows: 1. The current situation of Chemistry teaching in senior high school of Qiannan State in Guizhou Province:(1) In the aspect of laboratory facilities, most schools has met the standard of facility on science laboratory in basic education which released by Guizhou; the quality of lab teachers are low because of teachers` educational background & positional titles; chemistry laborataries are always lacking in apparatus & chemicals; laboratories in most schools are not open to students freely; laboratory management are always ignored.(2) In the aspect of experiment teaching, not all experiments in textbooks are chosen to do; teachers are proficient in knowledge of experiment operating; verified experiments & measurement experiments are selected for group experiment, unfortunately, inquiry experiment have few chance for students; most teachers neglect the evaluation of students` experimental operation.(3) In the experiment learning feedback, between Han students and national minority students, there exists many differences in experiment attitude & experiment operation; Among national minority students, girls have better performances in experiment preview than boys, meanwhile, the initiative of thinking towards experiments by girls are much stronger than boys; And both Han student and national minority students have the willing to choose experiment operation! &!examination! as the assessment methods for their experiment learning test. 2. Understandings of the meaning to the effective teaching of chemistry experiment by teachers in minority areas:(1)Under the aspect of experiment learning, the meanings to the effective teaching of chemistry experiment are below: can learn!, will to learn! and want to learn!, more detailed information is that, the effective teaching of chemistry experiment! can make stuents have flexible use of new knowledge!, make student understand the knowledge of experiment!, understand the method of experiment!, and make students like to learn experiment!, motivate students# conscious participation in learning! and experience the process of inquiry experiment!, and experience the positive class atmosphere!.(2)Under the aspect of experiment teaching, the meanings to the effective teaching of chemistry experiment are below: reaching the desired teaching purpose!, close-to-life experiment teaching!, student#s subjectivity esteem!, teaching should be effective!, teaching should be efficient!, teaching should be beneficial! and utilizing the multi-media assistance teaching effectively!. 3. The influencing factors to effective teaching of chemistry experiment in senior high school of minority areas. The main factors are teachers, students, schools and society respectively. Exactly, the more detailed factors are below: students# learning base, students# attitude to experiment learning, students# learning habits on experiments learning, teaching philosophy to experiment teaching, teachers’ professional accomplishment for experiment teaching; teaching methods, the evaluation for students# experiment learning, the facilities of school#s chemistry laboratory, the operation & management of laboratory and social circumstances. |
