This thesis summed up the current condition of chemistry experiment teaching models in China through literature review. Based on the requirements of strengthening the inquiry of experiments stated in the Ordinary High School Chemistry Curriculum Standard (Experiments), it presented a chemistry experiment teaching model analysis framework aimed at promoting science inquiry, and studied a case on WISE platform according to the framework.Finally, according to author’s practical experience, it analyzed another teaching model "Learning Guided by the Learning Plan" and found out that this teaching model can effectively improve students’mastering of chemical experiment knowledge and skills.The thesis is composed of six chapters.According to current situation of secondary high school chemical experiment teaching in China, Chapter One described the background of the issue, and briefly introduce the main research topic, the significance of the research, research methodology and relevant concepts.Chapter Two reviewed and analyzed the concept of chemistry experiment teaching model. Its current research situation is summarized and classified it into four categories.Chapter Three gave a simple summary of the chemical experiment in textbooks and Chemistry Curriculum Standards. The focus is put on our country’s Chemistry Curriculum Standards and based on it, it summed up the elements of the chemistry experiment teaching model which serves well in promoting science inquiry.Based on Chapter Three’s analysis framework, the fourth Chapter analyzed a successful case from WISE platform.Chapter Five probed into the elements of the chemistry experiment teaching model of "Learning Guided by the Learning Plan" and particularly introduced a case which successfully applied this teaching model. It reaches the conclusion that this teaching model can effectively improve students’mastering of chemical experiment knowledge and skills.Chapter Six summarized the present study and provided an outlook on its future development and related research.
