As the foundation of a country, education plays an important role in China’s development.With the opening up and modernization enters the new era, education reformation becomes urgent.Basic education curriculum reform makes senior politics updated the textbooks. With the deepening of reform, senior politics textbooks are continuously revised to adapt itself to the new situation and environment. The publish of China’s "Ordinary High School Politics Curriculum Standards(experimental),” marks the beginning of the reform of China’s senior politics textbooks.Focusing on course content and curriculum ideas, the new curriculum standards put forward new requirement on teaching. The new curriculum put more emphasis on the role of students and require teachers to provide guidance in the teaching process. Teacher-student relationship is undergoing a subtle change. Facing this challenge, educators need to think about how to use new teaching materials to carry out the work. Therefore, it is very important to further research and analyze ideological and political changes in school textbooks, the history of the development of the high school textbooks of political, and scientific and rational understanding of the characteristics of new materials to promote the teaching process.Senior politics textbook change is performed under the guidance of the new curriculum standards for high school teaching and is a new ideological and political exploration. This paper complies with the basic principles of Marxism and focus on a comparative study on the old and new materials from the aspects of the structure, content, speech, presentation with the purpose of building a partial cause of education materials to provide scientific and theoretical studies and practical basis to constantly promote high school politics scientific textbook construction. The development of basic education curriculum makes senior politics update textbooks. I think that the high school ideological and political textbook transition from the old to the new is caused by three reasons: the inevitable requirement of basic education reform; the product of the ideological and political curriculum reform, correcting the shortcomings of the old textbooks. The advantages of the new textbooks are compile principles, content, and material presentation methods. The new textbooks put more emphasis on student and are more open and flexible in teaching materials. The change in textbooks requires that teachers grasp the teaching law and seek for the teaching principles after the change to promote teaching effect. Teachers should combine theories with practices to take advantages of new textbooks to make breakthroughs in teaching and promote education with Chinese characteristics.
