Research On Scientific Performance Of Higher Vocational Colleges In Jiangsu Province

With the growth of financial appropriation for higher vocational colleges year by year,higher vocational colleges have also increased the input of funding and faculty at the same time. Based on the characteristics of applicability, higher vocational colleges have promoted the regional economic development by engaging in scientific research activities.In the meantime, scientific research activity of higher vocational colleges also gradually exposed many problems caused by the shortage of its own internal management.This study is to research the scientific performance of higher vocational colleges in Jiangsu Province and make a comprehensive evaluation of the case of inputs and outputs belongs research activities in vocational colleges.Combined evaluation findings, this paper can put forward suggestions to administrative institutions for higher vocational colleges and science researchers.The specific content of this paper is as follows:(1)First, this paper sorted out the current academic works and evaluation methodology of research performance in colleges, analysis of specific evaluation methods such as regression analysis, stochastic frontier analysis and data envelopment analysis of their characteristics.Then, combined with the characteristics of scientific research while there are a number of input and output. Finally, used data envelopment analysis to build the evaluation of scientific research system in college.(2) This article served the number of researchers holding senior academic titles in research and development activities, scientific research funding and the number of research specialist staff into the year as input items, served the national and foreign academic journals published, awards and achievements as output items, Data envelopment analysis method was used to assess scientific research performance of higher vocational colleges of Jiangsu province in 2009-2013.The paper showed that there are gaps in scientific research performance in highervocational colleges of Jiangsu province and used the super efficiency data envelopment analysis model which is based on slack variable usage of scientific research performance to make a detailed ranking, according to the projection theorem to calculate each concrete improvement direction of higher vocational colleges.Finally,according to the analysis conclusion,the paper suggests Improving the system of scientific research management;strengthening the management of research funding and Improving the scientific research project of informatization construction, propose practical measures for improvement. We also hope to be in a position to research direction of scientific research of planning and resources allocation in higher vocational colleges and create a more competitive environment.
