Research On Relationship Between Level Of Gratitude And Moral Judgment Ability Of College Students

With the continuous development of positive psychology,researchers in the field of psychology,gradually began to focus on gratitude- the positive qualities which is respected and popular culture but has long been neglected by scholars.Especially for college students’ gratitude research, and study the relationship between gratitude and moral judgment.Which is important for the enhance the practical effects of college students gratitude education.In order to explore the relationship between the level of cultivation of gratitude and morality judgement capability.In this study, 1106 college students who from five colleges have been tested by the quality of cultivation of gratitude scale and the scale of moral judgment. The current situation of college students’ gratitude and the level of moral judgment.Discusses the difference of college students’ moral judgment in different gratitude level.The main conclusions of this study as follows: as a whole,the standard of college students’ gratitude situation is higher than medium level.Concretely,the mean on the gratitude to parents,and the lowest one is the owe-feeling. The quality of gratitude of college students have a significant difference in grade, gender, profession and other demographic variables. 3) The moral judgment of college students is in the middle level overall,There isn’t a significant differences in gender, but also in grades, only child or non-only child, majors and location. 4)The gratitude of college students is positively related to their moral judgment. And to some extent, gratitude can significantly predict moral judgment. 5)There is a significant differences between different gratitude groups of college students’ moral judgment and psychological well-being. High gratitude group of college students’ moral judgment was significantly higher than that of middle and low gratitude group, the group in the middle of the college students’ moral judgment were significantly higher than that of low gratitude group.
