Teacher’s professional development has always been concerned focus of many educational researchers. With the development and deepness of researches, the orientation of teacher’s professional development is gradually going towards “ecological orientation” from “rational orientation” and “practical-reflective orientation ”. Researches of “rational orientation” and “practical-reflective orientation ” only focus on teacher’s development itself, while ingoring the influence of ecological environment on teacher’s professional development and lacking grasp of teacher’s professional development as a whole. However, “ecological orientation” researches emphasize the importance of living and working environment for teacher’s professional development, and puts much emphasis on individual interaction with environment. As a special group of rural teachers, the professional development level of special-post teachers still needs to be improved. Therefore, along the direction of “ecological orientation” researches, this essay uses the theory of educational ecology as analysis framework and theory support to discuss the ecological environment of special-post teacher’s professional development.Firstly, this essay comprehensively explains the logical relationship between theory of educational ecology and special-post teacher’s professional development from the view of history and value. Based on the theory of educational ecology, it analyzes the ecological meaning of special-post teacher’s professional development, which is an connected and self-organized ecological system which continuously interacts with environment by material circulation, energy flow and information transmission. Besides, it discusses five ecological characteristics of special-post teacher’s professional development, which is organic affinity, symbiotic interaction, dynamic balance, life autonomy and sustainable development.Secondly, as special-post teacher’s professional development is considered as an ecological system which includes the main body special-post teachers and their environment, therefore this essay mainly analyzes important ecological factors which have an influence on special-post teacher’s professional development from three dimensions of individual environment(micro-syetem), internal environment of school(medium-system) and external environment of school(macro-system). And it expounds six ecological characteristics of the ecological environment of special-post teacher’s professional development, which is objectivity, integrity, hierarchy, complexity and dynamic and openness. Besides, this essay also discusses promotive and security function and negative function of special-post teacher’s professional development.Thirdly, from the “soil” which is the ecological environment of special-post teacher’s professional development, through interviews and observations in-depth, we can know that there exists many reality problems of their ecological environment, which includes overload physical and mental state, disordered school management and evaluation system, lack of cooperative teacher’s culture and guidance of schoolmaster, insufficient living conditions and ineffective policy inplementation. Then this essay makes an ecological analysis on these existing problems.Finally, this essay puts forward some strategies to optimize the ecological environment of special-post teacher’s professional development from three dismensions, which includes positive improvement of special-post teachers themselves to optimize individual ecological environment; construction of cooperative teachers’ culture, establishment and improvement of school system, playing leading role of schoolmaster actively and making full use of a variety of educational resources to create a better shool ecological environment; and improvement of related policies to optimize macro-ecological environment.
