Quality education is not only to improve the quality of the people, but also to improve overall qualities of all students as the fundamental purpose, which focus on the cultivation of students’ innovative spirit and practical ability education. The basic connotation of the new course standard reflects the fundamental purpose and basic requirements of quality education, that is to implement quality education. National Minority Autonomous Prefecture of Qiandongnan is located in the southeastern of Guizhou,there is still some way to develop economy.The new course standard points out, strenthen the education in poverty-stricken areas and ethnic minority areas.A comprehensive understanding of the current situation of Qiandongnan Minority Autonomous Prefecture about sports teaching, promoting the physical education curriculum reform in the national minority area, which is the national policy on the basic requirements of the national minority area. Using the method of literature, questionnaire survey method, interview method, mathematical statistics, logic analysis studies were conducted to investigate the current situation of physical education in national Minority Autonomous Prefecture of Qiandongnan 15 national high schools.The results showed that:1.The school leadership in the national middle school ofQiandongnan pay little attention physical education curriculum reform, sports discipline ideology exist is different.2.Physical education teachers in Qiandongnan national middle school education in accordance with the basic physical education teaching needs, but the sports teachers with higher academic background is less, the level of scientific research of physical education teaching is relatively low, the title is generally low.3.The construction of facilities of Qiandongnan national middle school is relatively good, but there are some shortages, site construction, equipment does not coordinate with the scale of the development of the school.4.Middle school physical education of teachers in Qiandongnan minority have the concept of new curriculum to have a good understand of the situation, but how to implement the new curriculum standards still have something to do.5.The teaching goal setting has a diverse, but not specific, clear, the goal of classroom teaching cannot detect; physical education teaching evaluation of multiple has attempt; but the pluralistic evaluation structure system is still not well.6.The teaching content of physical education in the traditional sports,but lack of life, national sports and related with life, there is a gap between the teaching content of physical educationdevelopment and the new curriculum standard target.Finally, according to the above research conclusion,the following suggestions: 1.Change the concept of school leadership, strengthen the introduction of talent of physical education teachers, pay attention to the cultivation of school physical education teachers; 2.The development of the teaching content, flexible response to lack of equipment; 3. Overall consideration of the specific implementation of teaching objectives; 4. To increase the implementation of new curriculum training, guiding the teaching behavior; 5. To develop the teaching content, improve evaluation system.
