The Residents Consumption And The Pattern Of Economic Development In China

Since it began opening up，although our economic growth speeded up sharply, the wayto economic growth which we based on is almost the traditional industrialization model andextensive type that“high cost investment, high-cost, high emission and low efficiency”. Withthe high speed of national economic growth, the total economic output has increased largelywhile the extensive type for economic growth has brought a series of negative effects so thatthe essence of the economic increase has not been achieved correspondingly.Based on the economic development model, The contradictions between the moderneconomic development and“people,environmenty and resources”are becoming increasinglyacute, which has been the key problem that curbed the Economic-socio CoordinationDevelopment. Judging from the force of stimulating economic development, in recentyears ,with in the three key factors that promote economy , the effect from investment demandhas improved constantly while that of consumption demand sank down, so that it is hard toarchive the demand of sustainable development if excessively based on investment andexporting. Therefore, we make suggestion for changing the model of economic developmentacceleratory.The paper started from the theory of Marxism theory and reference for western othereconomists about consumption and economic development theory ,then combining with thereality of China’s economic development, description the difference between the concept ofeconomic development and economic growth. China should sustainable economicdevelopment should be the transformation of economic development. Then based on thestrategic demand for changing the economic model and the data from the national statisticalyearbook, through statistical analysis, this paper made a preliminary analysis of the positiveeffects for our economic development from consume demand since the reform andopening-up, and put forward some shortages of consumer demand development in recentyears. And some standing problems in our economic fields as follow. As for these problems, itpoints out the positive meaning for increasing residents consume and economic developmodel.Therefore, by adjusting national income distribution relationship, increasing people’sincome and raising resident’ s spending power ,consumer demand as the primary driving forceto stimulate economic development; urban and rural economic development, promote therapid development of rural economy, developing the rural consumer market; improve thesocial safeguard mechanism to address the worries of residents, promoting the release ofconsumer demand; positive development of consumer credit, and provide residents with moreconsumer information. So that the balance of production and consumption; purify theconsumption environment, improve people’s consumption desires, and to promote theexpansion of consumer demand, promote the consumption structure, and thus to drive the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure, promote economic restructuring, thuspromoting the economic development pattern.
