Evaluation Of Environment Suitability For Human Settlement In Baoan District,Shenzhen Based On GIS

With the rapid development of social economy.people concerned about the material life but also their living environment with improving living standards,residential environment is not only the material background that is necessary for people’s life,but also the geographical space closely-related with our life.Residential environment not only directly affect the health and life quality,but also is related to the development of the society and human.By the economic rapid development of Shenzhen Special Zone, Urban construction make a great achievement in Baoan,but at the same time is also associated with all urban issues. In this context,strengthen the study for the evaluation of suitability for human living environment is significant to the government’s introduction of the orderly flow.the definition of functional regions and reasonable distribution of population.the promotion of a coordinated development of the population,resurces and the environment,and Monitoring living environment development track and to promote the healthy development of the human living environment.This paper Summarizes the basic living environment at home and abroad theoretical study and research methods.and then the research about the evaluation of suitability for human living environment by taking GIS,reference the world health organization(WHO) about the idea of the living environment for safety,health,amenity,convenience,and by the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) as the method to determine the index weights of the factors to establish the index model which is composed of four first-order indexes and fourteen basic indexes, and by the objective Linear Weighting Function to evaluate the livable degree and comprehensive assessments the environment suitability for human settlements in Baoan, Shenzhen.The results show that:the study area are divided into non-suitable area,general-suitable area,moderately-suitable area,highly-suitable area grade of the livable regions according to the livable degrees based on100m×100m grid-scale.Baoan is suitable for human settlement relatively because of moderately-suitable area and highly-suitable area are more than1/2 of the total area; the study area are highly-suitable area and moderately-suitable area based on subdistrict,but non-suitable area is Longhua Subdi strict which nearest to downtown area of Shenzhen Special Zone.
