The Coupling Relationship Research Between Lind Intensified Utilization And Economic Development Of Yichun City

Along with the rapid development of economic and urbanization, the scarcity ofland is becoming increasingly prominent, which has become an important factor torestrict the development of social and economy, and the intensified utilization of landbecomes an important policy. At the same time, our country is a large agriculturalnation, having wide rural areas and population. However, the land-use model of ruralsettlements still is the "stars" extensive development, which not only endangers theprotection of arable land, but also influences the sustainable development of ourcountry’s economy. So the land intensified utilization of rural settlements is veryurgent. Therefore, the land intensive utilization of rural settlements became the focusof research, but these studies mostly focused on the concepts, status evaluation of landintensive utilization of rural settlements, scarcely in the coupling relationship betweenland intensive utilization of rural settlements and economic development, making ourcountry’s land intensive utilization of rural settlements certain blind. Therefore,combining the land intensified utilization with economic development to explore thecoupling and coupling stages of them, which can guide the construction of landintensified utilization of rural settlements.The paper evaluated on land intensified utilization of rural settlements andeconomic development by integrated evaluation method on the basis of1996-2008’sland-use and statistical yearbook data of Yichun city. Then a coupling model based onthe evaluation results was constructed, analyzing the relationship and change trendbetween land intensified utilization of rural settlements and economic development.Finally, the paper raised some suggestions of land intensified utilization of ruralsettlements for the problems in the coupling process that based on the rapiddevelopment of economic. And the main conclusions are as follows:(1) The trend of land intensified utilization of Yichun city’s rural settlements rosefluctuated in1996-2008, rising fast in1996-1999, relatively steady in1999-2002,rising steadily in2002-2005, falling transiently in2005-2006, rising fast andcontinuously in2006-2008. The evaluation results indicates that optimizing thestructure of land-use, improving the strength and efficiency of land, increasinginvestment in land utilization of rural settlements and improving the policy of land-use are the key to improve the land intensified utilization of Yichun city’s ruralsettlements.(2) The economic development trend of Yichun city rose significantly in1996-2008, especially after2003, the economic growth rate greatly increased. Amongscale of economic, degree of affluence and industrial structure, the scale of economicgrew fastest, the second is degree of affluence, but the rate of the third industry inGDP is low, should be further improved.(3) The speed of economic development is faster than land intensified utilizationof rural settlements in generally, and the economic development is the necessaryconditions, but not sufficient condition, for the improvement of land intensifiedutilization of rural settlements. At the same time, the response of land intensifiedutilization of rural settlements exist certain hysteresis to the economic development.(4) The coupling model results show that, the land intensified utilization of ruralsettlements and economic development of had the coupling relationship and evolvedin phase, having experienced break-in development, benign development, coordinateddevelopment and uncoordinated development stages. The relationship of them evolvedfrom break-in development stage to benign development stage quickly, then arrived atcoordinate development stage, strengthening the coordination effects gradually, and theland intensified utilization and economy are in accelerating development state in1996-1999, from coordinated development stage to uncoordinated development stage in1999-2000, uncoordinated development stage in2000-2008. During the2000-2008period, economy continued to accelerate developing, but the land intensified utilizationof rural settlements rose fluctuated, abating the coupling effect, and its outstandingperformance was that the speed gap between land intensified utilization of ruralsettlements and economic development widen gradually.Under the background of sustained and rapid development of economy,accelerating improvement of land intensified utilization of rural settlements is the keyto develop coordinated for the whole system. At last, the paper put forward thestrengthening land intensified utilization of rural settlements suggestions based on theproblems in coupling process of land intensified utilization of rural settlements andeconomic development under the background of rapid development of economic:promoting arrangement work of rural settlements; strengthening central villageconstruction; completing infrastructure; establishing incentive mechanism of intensiveland-use; increasing investment and multiple investing.
