EPR system in our country has been officially implemented in2004. At the sametime, used household appliances recycling attracts the attention of the government andthe manufacturers. This paper researches enterprises’ incentives in recycling usedhousehold appliances recycling under the EPR system. The specific contents are asfollows:First, under the EPR system, this paper researches the incentive mechanisms forrecycling waste household appliances. According to the existing research literatureand theoretical results, this paper defines the concept of waste household appliances.On the basis of the introduction of EPR systems and reverse logistics, this paperanalyzes the economic incentive and the non-economic incentive theories formanufacturers recycling the used household appliancesSecond, this paper erects the enterprise economic incentives and non-economicincentives under the EPR system. In this paper, by analyzing the government andmanufacturers interests of the game in the home appliance recycling process, thispaper tries to find a balance between two in order to build the economic incentivemodel; This paper introduces the relevant laws and regulations and analyzes how tostrengthen the government’s policy action and how to implement the corporatemarket-oriented operation and strengthen environmental protection publicly andeducation and social supervisions to prove the non-economic incentivesFinally, this paper analyzes the case studies on the implementation of China’shome appliance recycling. The Midea Group and the Haier Group are two largerappliance manufacturers in China. This paper analyzes their recycling measures ofwaste home appliances in China. The results show that: the two groups attache greatimportance to waste home appliances recycling. The Midea Group’s householdappliances recycling project failed due to the lack of an effective incentive and timelycooperation of the government and consumers; Haier Group’s home appliancerecycling has been over the sales of new appliances, it’s waste household applianceswork more successful.
