As the trend of the world economic civilization and culture economization, thecompetition level among enterprises was raised to the competition of enterpriseculture from the product, science and technology. Whether the enterprise can bestronger, bigger for a long time is decided directly by the construction of theenterprises cultural competitiveness, which is the important component of theenterprise competitiveness. The famous master in the field of managementW·Edwards·Deming once said:"If something cannot be quantified, then it couldn’t bemanaged either ". Therefore, the evaluation of the enterprises cultural competitivenessis the important sign of understanding of the enterprise culture and effectivelymanaging the competitiveness of enterprise culture.‖Entropy" as a new world view,the profound effect was made by its infiltration into various disciplines. RichardBarrett once said," if you don’t understand entropy, you won’t understandmanagement ". From microcosmic cultural perspective, the enterprise cultural entropywas used to probe to the factors, by which disorder and ineffectiveness in theenterprise culture system was caused. It is a great necessity and realistic significancethat the quantitative analysis of enterprise cultural entropy impact on the enterprisescultural competitiveness for the construction of enterprise culture, the promotion ofthe enterprises cultural competitiveness.Four parts of contents and results were contained in this thesis. Firstly, based on alarge number of domestic and foreign literatures, the concept of the enterprise culture,the enterprises cultural competitiveness, the enterprise cultural entropy were definedrespectively. Secondly, based on the concept of the enterprise culture and theenterprises cultural competitiveness, the evaluation model of the enterprises culturalcompetitiveness-" Lotus "was built, the evaluation index system of the enterprisescultural competitiveness was established from four dimensions, which are composedof the spiritual cultural competitiveness, the institutional cultural competitiveness, thebehavioral cultural competitiveness and the material cultural competitiveness. Theanalytic hierarchy process(AHP) was applied to determine the weight of evaluationindex system of the enterprises cultural competitiveness. Thirdly, based on literaturereview and investigation of enterprises,the survey questionnaire of the enterprise cultural entropy was designed, and its validity and item adequacy was discussed bythe experts. Therefore, the ideal questionnaire of the enterprise cultural entropy wascompleted preliminarily. Taking the ten catering enterprises in Xi’an for example, theinvestigation and data analysis was launched. Through the reliability and validity,exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and principal componentanalysis of data analysis, the six entropic factors of the enterprise cultural entropy wasextracted. Finally, the six cultural entropic factors impact on the enterprises culturalcompetitiveness by regression analysis, and the enterprises cultural competitiveness often samples were evaluated. It is demonstrated that the six entropic factors of theenterprise cultural entropy was related to the enterprises cultural competitiveness.Based on the above mentioned, the outlined suggestion of constuction of theenterprises culture was put forward.The following conclusions were concluded:(1) The enterprises culturalcompetitiveness is the ability of enterprise culture that urge enterprises to create highperformance, maintain the competitive advantage and adapt to the environmentthrough maintaining the degree of internal order and the effectiveness, which iscomposed of the spiritual cultural competitiveness, the institutional culturalcompetitiveness, the behavioral cultural competitiveness, material culturalcompetitiveness. Based on the four dimensions, the evaluation index system of theenterprises cultural competitiveness was built, which is designed by the principle thatthe degree of order and effectiveness was reflected by each index in comparison withcompetitors.(2) The enterprise cultural entropy is factor that will cause the disorderand invalidation in the enterprise culture system. Enterprise culture as thecombination of social culture and enterprise personality, the cultural entropy inChinese enterprise was inevitably influenced by Chinese social culture. The entropyof conformity, the entropy of face-avoidance, the entropy of authority-suppression,the entropy of public morality-absence, the entropy of faction-fighting,the entropy ofinstitution-indifference were extracted from the enterprise cultural entropy.(3) Theenterprises cultural competitiveness was effected negatively by the six entropicfactors of the enterprise cultural entropy respectively, and the effective degree isdifferent. Therefore, the correctness of qualititive research for the concept ofenterprise cultural entropy is demonstrated by the quantitive analysis.(4) On thebasement of above research conclusions, it can be furtherly inferred that theenterprises cultural competitiveness is "the negative enterprise cultural entropy ", theenterprise cultural entropy is "the positive enterprise cultural entropy ". Thetraditional research on corporate culture, regardless of the research of "positiveentropy ", namely the research of "enterprise cultural entropy". Therefore, theeffective construction of The enterprises culture should not only be enhanced from the " enterprises cultural negative entropy " perspective, which can promote the culturesystem more order and effective, but also from" the enterprises cultural possitiveentropy " perspective,by which the enterprises culture system is becoming more andmore invalid and disorder.The contributions on the establishment of the evaluation " Lotus "model of thecompetitiveness of enterprise culture, the construction of evaluation index system ofthe competitiveness of enterprise culture, the extraction of six entropic factors ofenterprises cultural entropy and the research of the six entropic factors of enterprisescultural entropy impact on the enterprises cultural competitiveness, was made in thisthesis. In some degree, the meaningful value to the theory and the practicalconstruction of enterprise culture will be made by this thesis.
