Urbanization pays attention to the improvementof urbanization rate in the past, but new urbanization pays more attention to thequality of urbanization, and claims the low carbon, ecology, intelligent and intensivein the construction of urbanization. So “the Industry and City connect and impacteach other” which emphasizing the connection and influence of city (county, village)and industry in space, development and function come out, and finally realizes thesuitable for employment and dwell for human. Urumqi is in period of urban spaceexpansion and population increasing, so the study of new urbanization constructionin Urumqi has a certain practical significance. As the capital of Xinjiang, Urumqiwill promote the agglomeration of cities in Xinjiang. The new urbanization will alsogive some instruction or set an example to other minority areas in Xinjiang. Thefourth, ignoring industry development results in the difficulty for the farmers andherdsmen to find a job. The fifth, the development degree of city agglomeration isnot high. The sixth part is the inspiration acquiring from the experiences of domesticand foreign urbanization. Combining with the actual situation, Urumqi newurbanization construction should have train of thought, such as working out a highlevel planning, and paying attention to the industrial development, and considering city and rural areas as a whole, and insisting on the development direction of greenand intelligent, and making sure people oriented. In order to solve the problem, thereare some suggestions. The first, the construction of urbanization should be efficientand intensive. The second, city (county, town) should promote the transformation andupgrade of industries. The third, government should comprehensively promote ruralurbanization. The fourth, government and company should try to offer more jobs topromote the employment. The fifth the development of urban agglomeration in thenorth slope of Tianshan Mountain should be emphasized.
