A Study Into The Demand And Countermeasures Of Public Rental Housing For Migrant Workers In Shunde

With the continuous development of economic and social, China`s industrialization andurbanization are increasing rapidly. Hundreds of millions of rural labor have been flowinginto cities and economically developed areas. They are employed and so called migrantworkers. But the housing demand of these migrants is far from satisfied, and it becomesincreasingly prominent social issues of wide public concern.Reforming the current housing policy, putting the housing demand of the migrantworkers into consideration of policies, creating the type and form of housing provided shouldbe the fundamental way to solve the housing issues of migrant workers. The key to improvethe housing security of migrant works is that speed up the construction of public rentalhousing and supply. Shunde is one of the gathering places of industry in Pearl River Delta.There is large population of migrant workers so that the housing problem of migrant workersis typical and prominent. If this problem can be solved reasonably, it will not only benefit thedevelopment of industrialization and urbanization, but also reinforce the stability of thesociety, improve and show the fair of the society.This article will firstly overall introduce the background and development process ofthe housing security of migrant workers. Based on systematical review and analysis of thehousing security status of migrant workers and the result achieved, specify the studyframework and analytical method. Besides, it will specifically describe the housing status ofmigrant workers in Shunde and the demand of public rental housing. Based on the status ofhousing of migrant workers in Shunde, it will set evaluation index and questionnaire of demand of public rental housing. Then, emphatically analyzing the results of survey. Finally,refer to the housing problem of migrant workers in Shunde, and according to the foreignhousing policy and the typical experience of solving housing problems in other parts of thecountry, this article will make suggestions from the aspects of the development andconstruction of public rental housing.
