Study And Management Of Shale Gas Exploitation

In today’s world, energy is one of the most important factors to the economydevelopment and the harmony of society, as in the progress of rapid economic development inChina, the energy issue is the even more important issue related to people’s livelihood. Due tothe particularity of Chinese energy, the structural contradiction of “Rich in coal, Poor inpetroleum and gas” and the contradiction of “inadequacy of domestic production anddependence of importation”, bring out serious impediment to the sustainable development andenergy safety of our country. This paper is based on the fact of tremendous success of shalegas exploration in foreign country and the actual circumstance of our country, it insightfullystudies the development of shale gas in our country and bring up8suggestions to promote thedevelopment of shale gas exploration in China, which has a positive reference value to realizethe “shale gas revolution” in Chinese way.This paper carries out the research, in accordance with the thought of“three-combination” which means the combination of abroad and domestic, the combinationof opportunity and challenge and the combination of current situation and strategy scheme. Atfirst, it generally describes the situation of the distribution and exploration of petroleum andnatural gas in the world and China, and proposes that the efficient exploration of shale gas canoptimize the current energy pattern. Then, by taking into account the our national condition, itanalyzes the necessity of development of shale gas in China to conclude that the developmentof shale gas can ensure the energy safety, release the contradiction between supply anddemand, and promote the “energy conservation and emission reduction” with thedevelopment of relevant industry.Subsequently, based on the current situation of shale gas resource, technology andmanagement in world and China, it proposes the three major shale gas developmentopportunities and nine challenges. After a careful study on the opportunities and challenges,the key point of this paper is focused on chapter5, which proposes the nine suggestions to thedevelopment path, with Chinese characteristics, of shale gas. The eight suggestions includethe enforcement of cooperation between universities and companies, enforcing thecombination of absorption of imported and independent R&D, widening the entity of investment, enforcing the political support, implementation of environmental prioritystrategies, carrying out the factory construction, perfecting the construction of infrastructureand enforcing the good coordination between companies and local government.
