| “Technical trade barrier” has a crucial effect on Chinese exports of agriculturalproducts, especially for tea, fruits and vegetables, honey and aquatic products whichare traditional advantages of labor-intensive products. How to assess its impact andsolutions becomes the common concern at home and abroad. The trade betweenChina and EU has developed rapidly, while we can’t neglect problems between them.As a result of different economic scale and protective degree, Chinese exportingagricultural products to EU has been more often than not influenced by EU’sTechnical Trade Barrier. Therefore, studying on the effects made by the EU’sTechnical Trade Barrier has practical significance.This thesis makes use of checklists, case analysis，listing and the gravitationalmodel to analyze effects of agricultural exports to the EU suffered from Technicaltrade barrier based on previous analysis. The article firstly demonstrates theoryrelated to Technical Trade Barrier, then analyze the main agricultural products whichexported to EU、the quality and safety of agricultural products and several mainmarkets in the EU; Secondly this thesis utilizes2000-2012aquatic products paneldata to do empirical research on the impact of Technical trade barrier to aquaticexports based on gravitational model.Results demonstrate: The GDP per capital of both countries promotes theexporting trade; Recessive technical barriers has impacted on exporting trade, withEuropean Union making one unit of technical regulations, China’s volume of aquaticproducts to the EU will drop0.6units; With China formulating one unit of pollutionstandard, China’s volume of aquatic products to the EU will raise0.4units, Soundregulatory system will promote China’s aquatic products exported to the EU course.At last, this paper makes some suggestion to overcome the foreign Technical TradeBarrier from three perspectives of enterprise、government and industry organizationsbased on the previous conclusions. |
