Study On The Impact Of TBT On Our Agricultural Product Trades

With the rapid development of global trade freedom, the traditional tariff measures are becoming fewer, and more countries convert the trade protection means to more covert and flexible technical trade barrier. Since the joining of WTO, the percentage of China's import and export trade is increasing, resulting in our stronger economy, but at the same time, we are facing more and more technical trade barrier challenges imposed by advanced countries. This essay starts from the concept of technical trade barrier, analyses the mechanism of technical trade barrier, and also analyses its effect in conjunction with the actual situations that our agricultural produces have encountered, and also does some research in how to break through the foreign trade barriers and perfect our own technical trade barrier system.This essay shows that the technical trade barrier is exhibited in the form of technical measures and for the purpose of trade protection. The basic reason for its existence is that the technology development is unbalanced in different countries. Technical trade barrier will have double impacts on economy and trade. In the present agricultural trade, the spread of technical trade barrier has not only increased the cost of our country's agricultural exports, led to trade obstacles, but also induced unnecessary trade disputes, distorted the normal development of international trade and imposed great pressure on the export of our agricultural produces. In view of this, on the one hand, enterprises should break through trade barriers by by employing WTO rules and by technical management means to expand export, and on the other hand, the government should establish pre-warning mechanism, perfect our technical trade barrier system and provide effective security to promote the smooth development of our nation's agricultural trade.
