The Study On Spatial Stucture And Evolution Of Lodging Industry Of Beijing City

The study on spatial structure of hotel abroad began at the end of the80’s in20thCentury.The Ashworth’s model of city historical evolution and the Egan’s modelof land bid rent are representative model of spatial distribution patterns of lodgingindustry, but they are all theoretical results based on single center city in developedcountries. Beijing as a developing country’s capital city, social economicbackground, the historical development of the city, the internal spatial structureshowed significant differences, accommodation industry types, structure andoperation exist large differences with European city.Hence,the paper adopt the data of star hotel and economy hotel from1997to2012in Beijing, choose the ArcGIS spatial analyst technology and the orderedmultivariate logit model, study the temporal and spatial evolution of the lodgingindustry and in fluencing factors.At the same time, the hotel industry is a signof redistribution trend of city activities,this paper will furtherly study the coevolution relationship between the lodging industry spatial structure and city spacestructure, to explore the characteristics of city space reconstruction. Conclusions ofthe study are as follows:(1)Agglomeration is the basic characteristic of distribution in Beijing,thedistribution model includes eight kinds of location types, of which four are new typescompared with the Ashworth’s model,including the location of city function areaand small agglomeration area,the transition location between the old cityand function area,function area and function area, the location from the old city tothe airport,the location of new town in outer suburb and the location of road entranceat the edge of the city.This reflects the complexity and speciality of capital city indeveloping country.(2)The centralization and centrifugal diffusion trends in lodging industry bothexist, belonging to the relative diffusion;The expansion show the characteristics ofagglomeration and include five kinds of expansion ways,there are differences indifferent direction.(3)The accessibility, land price, agglomeration are the most significant influencefactors influencing distribution, the influence degree of one factor on different type ofhotels and in different period show differences.On the whole, agglomeration degree of accommodation industry have decreased, constraint of basic land price isstrengthening, the trend of diffusion increases, the improvement of trafficconditions, especially the development of Metro has effect on diffusion.(4)the lodging industry has shaped urban landscape and urban spatialstructure,urbanization influence location and the transfer of loction of the lodgingindustry.(5)The centrifugal effect shaping urban structure is enhanced, heterogeneity andcomplexity of urban space is increased. Globalization and informatization the eventshave some effects on the spatial structure of city.
