In the21st century, With the rapid development of knowledge economy,enterprises are facing the new challenge of the global market environment, the keyof enterprise’s competitive is talent competition, if the enterprises must want to havea seat and have a win, he will remain strong competitiveness in the human resource.However, Performance management occupies the central position of human resourcemanagement, it will get all functions effectively together. Scientific and effectiveperformance management is to enhance enterprise core competitive ability, completethe enterprise’s goal, improve their working enthusiasm, at the same time, improveemployee satisfaction, and finally make enterprise and individual achieve theimportant means of win-win with developing together. Therefore, under the fierceeconomic competitive environment performance management has been the highlyattention of economic managers.Based on a large number of relevant material and theoretical knowledge, thisarticle introduces concepts, theory, function and significance of the performancemanagement; Further is to apply the method of literature analysis, interviews andqualitative analysis, I analyzes the present situation of the performance management,and tells the existing problem: performance appraisal lack clear goals and foundationwork of performance evaluation is not perfect, the main body and the cycle ofperformance evaluation is not reasonable, and performance assessment informationis distortion, etc. Secondly, Grassroots power sector employee performancemanagement analyzes, pointed out its problems. powers and duties unclear, Contentof the assessment is not complete, Results of the assessment are not appliedcorrectly. Finally,This paper proposes to improve the power company employeeperformance management measures.
