Along with the advancement of China’s urbanization and industrialization process, urbaneconomy has developed rapidly, a huge amount of land has been expropriated by thegovernment for construction, resulting in a great increase of land-expropriatedfarmers.Statistics show the number of land-expropriated farmers has amounted to more thanfifty million and is rising by two million annually. More and more farmers lose their land.Consequently, the farmers find they have difficulty in supporting themselves in the longrun.Under the circumstance, the problems concerning land acquisition compensation haveprominent, such as the abuse of land expropriation rights, inappropriateness of landacquisition compensation, the arbitrary allocation of land acquisition costs, non-transparencyof compensation policies and difficulties in implementation of resettlement policies. Withthese problems the land-expropriated farmers are difficult to keep their living standard andsupport themselves in the long run, which has resulted in a great number of appeals againstand acquisition compensation.With full consideration to social and economic factors, natural conditions and theindividual differences among the land-expropriated farmers and their families, the researchcarries out the factors which influence the farmers’-will-oriented for land requisition. Use thedata obtained from a questionnaire targeted at409households of17provinces. And conduct aquantitative analysis on the factors affecting the farmers’ willingness.The thesis contains six parts.Chapter I is introduction which introduces the research background, significance,methods and technical route, and organizes the related literature systematically.Chapter II、Chapter III and Chapter IV is the main thesis. Chapter II defines the basicconcepts, and to sort out the relevant basic theory and analysis, including land rent theory,property and land property. Chapter III sort out the development of the expropriationcompensation policy. Chapter IV makes a descriptive statistics for the whole. Chapter Vconducts a quantitative analysis on the factors affecting the farmers’ willingness.The last part is conclusion, including conclusion, research shortage and researchprospects.
