Express delivery industry is a modernization service industry with the characteristics ofproductive and consumer. With the rapid economic development, as well as diversification ofcustomer demand, the express market will be more room for development. Today, China’slogistics market has been fully opened, the logistics industry as an important part of theexpress industry, prosperity and development at the same time, there have been intensecompetition. Demand is huge, lucrative Chinese market attracted foreign express deliverygiants and state-owned enterprises to actively express scraping, fledgling private couriercompanies succeed in the fierce competition and stable development should strive to improvecompetitiveness, build competitive advantage. Although the first clear legal status of privatecourier companies by the new "Postal Law", one of the relevant postal franchise system tomany private courier companies to bring no small pressure. It is a problem which cannotavoided how to deal with state-owned and foreign express delivery flank, the postal monopolyin terms of "Postal Law", private enterprise internal competition.The first of all this paper expounds the research background, research summaryand research contents, secondly on the basis of relative competitiveness theory, it analyzes theexpress delivery market competition pattern, using PEST analysis method from the policyenvironment, economic environment, social environment and technical environment fouraspects analyzes the express delivery market, and then by the SWOT method, analyzes theinternal advantage, private courier enterprise internal weaknesses, external opportunities, andthe external disadvantage, thus raises the private courier enterprise competitivenessresearch.Then, this paper constructed a complete set of private courier enterprisecompetitiveness evaluation index system, including the size of the market, the price level,safety level, delivery timely, service quality, the informationization level, externalcoordination level and the potential development capacity8primary indexes and22secondary indicators, using the analytic hierarchy process to determine the weight of eachindex, affect enterprise competitiveness will affect private courier enterprise in the form ofquantitative indicators of competitiveness more intuitively, and with five private couriercompanies such as a sample of empirical analysis, through questionnaire investigation and expert evaluation to collect raw data, the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to calculateout the five private courier enterprise competitiveness composite scores, which furtheranalysis influence express key elements of enterprise competitiveness.Finally it comes to theconclusion that enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of China’s private courierenterprise should from increasing investment, improving the management concept and mode,strengthening the construction of network and brand and so on several aspects to study.
