With the continuous development of China’s international trade and frequentlyincreasing E-commerce activities,demand for express services in businesses andindividuals growing rapidly. Timeliness, convenience and security requirements ofdelivery are also increasing, this is has laid a good foundation for a lucrative marketsize and a huge potential courier industry. Presently, China’s Private express deliverycorporations have sprung up everywhere by virtue of its economic reasonable priceadvantage and flexible market reaction mechanism.also Private express deliverycorporations, Rising domestic express market position, has become an important partof China’s express industry.However, the development prospects for the private express delivery industry arenot optimistic. Private express delivery corporations how to deal with the competitivepressure from foreign express delivery; how to respond to pressure from thestate-owned express delivery companies, as well as how to use their own advantagesto enhance the competitive strength; how to find the problems of their owndevelopment and actively adjust, This has become an unavoidable problem for ourprivate courier companies.Therefore, the research of the competitiveness of Privateexpress delivery corporations has a very important practice significance.In this paper, the Private express delivery corporations in China are our researchobject.The author analyzes the competitive landscape of China’s express deliverymarket and summarizes the factors affecting the competitiveness. At the same time,Interviews are also conducted on China Express users, Evaluation standard of thecompetitiveness of China’s Private express delivery corporations are Preliminaryestablished, basing on the results of the literature review and interviews. Therewiththe author framing the survey questionnaire and conduct research, Using SPSSsoftware to process and analysis the data of three hundred and twenty four validquestionnaires research. Using the AHP model weights given to each project, theentire evaluation system can be more rational and scientific.On the basis of competitiveness index system of private courier companies,which involved the new seven-level indicators of courier business strength, quality ofservice, product prices, aging security level, information technology capabilities,quality of personnel, public relations, and twenty nine secondary indicators.The author conducted a questionnaire survey again during three categories of tenrepresentative courier companies. By contrast analysis of the data, Private expressdelivery corporation’s competitive advantage is that low prices and higher domesticcourier business market share and fast delivery.Competitive disadvantage exists in theservice level is not high, IT capability is weak, the lower the quality of personnel andlack of brand building and other factors.The author hopes that through the research we can find the suggestions toimprove the competitiveness of the private courier companies, weakening itsdisadvantage, avoiding the risks and threats and improving the sense of service andinnovative spirit, In order to our Private courier companies can be more healthy andrapid growth.
