Efficiency Analysis And Policy Suggestion Of The Combination Of Technology And Finance Of Fujian Province

Science and technology is the inexhaustible driving force of economic and socialdevelopment. Finance is the core element of modern economic development. Theeffective combination of technology and finance has become the focus of the corecompetition of the various provinces. As the Fujian Province is located in the coastalarea, the situation of technology and finance has shown a good development trend inrecent years,. Based on the empirical analysis of the Fujian Province, we computedthe efficiency of the combination of technology and finance. Combined with theexperience of the development of technology and finance at home and abroad, somecountermeasures and suggestions are put forward.In this paper, by using DEA (data envelopment analysis) method, the comparisonof horizontal and vertical analysis of the efficiency of the combination of financialinput and technology output in Fujian province are made. Horizontally, based on thecross-section data of29provinces and cities across the country and compared withother provinces and cities, the efficiency of the combination of financial input andtechnology output of Fijian province is relatively low, and there are large gapscompared with the developed coastal provinces such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang,Guangdong and etc. The combination of technology and finance of Fujian Province isnot very ideal, there existed great development space. Vertically, using the relateddata of nearly12years of Fujian Province to analyze the present situation and trendof the combination of technology and finance, there exists great differences betweenthe efficiency value and the DEA valid value of the combination of technology andfinance of Fijian province. The efficiency value has an upward tendency on the whole.From an empirical analysis of the horizontal and vertical we conclude that financialinput compared with the technology development of Fujian province is not enoughand the related investment should be increased and the overall efficiency should beimproved. For the insufficiency of the corresponding output, the ability of scientificand technological transformation should be improved so as to make the transformation from financial input to output of science and technology moresuccessfully.On the basis of empirical analysis, through summarizing the domestic and foreignexperience of the technology and financial development, using the technology thatdeveloped from R&D to technology diffusion and transfer and then to different stagesof technology mercerization and the demand for finance as the main line,comminuted with the specific situation of Fijian province, some countermeasures forrealizing the good combination of technology and finance are put forward in order tofoster strengths and circumvent weaknesses of Fujian Province.
