In the knowledge economy times, the knowledge is gradually become the mostimportant factors of production. For enterprises, the employees’ tacit knowledge isthe key factors, that keep the enterprises’ core-competitiveness. Sharing this tacitknowledge among employees effectively, is a key part of knowledge management forenterprises. Meanwhile, it is noted that knowledge sharing cannot depart fromemployees. knowledge sharing is an interaction between employees, so therelationship between the individuals and their characteristics have important impacton tacit knowledge sharing.This research combined the social network theory and the individual characteristicstheory, research the consulting network’s tie strength, network density, networkcentrality, structural holes, and the employees’ self-monitoring degree, knowledgesharing capabilities, and how these effect the knowledge sharing. At the same time,wetake the knowledge-sharing capabilities as the moderator, self-monitoring as theintermediate variable, research their roles in knowledge sharing. Finally, we alsostudied the interaction of knowledge sharing capabilities and self-monitoring’s impacton tacit knowledge sharing.This study was base on the consulting network theory, and collected data throughquestionnaires, after that, we used SPSS17.0and UCINET6.0analysis these data,include variance analysis, correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis. Atlast we got the following conclusions:1.The strength of the ties among the staffs, the network density, centrality andstructural holes all have a significant positive effect on tacit knowledge sharing;2.The staff’s individual characteristic, namely the knowledge sharing capabilitiesand the self-monitoring have positive effect for tacit knowledge sharing;3. The knowledge sharing capabilities play a positively moderates role between thetie strength, network density, degree centrality and tacit knowledge sharing;4.The self monitoring of employee respectively plays a intermediation rolebetween the process of employees tie strength, network density, network centrality ontacit knowledge’s influence.The main innovation of the paper was combine the network characteristics and individual characteristics. Besides, by analyzing the moderating effects and mediatingeffects, this paper explained the influential factors for the tacit knowledge sharing.
